I love this Cacao Powder. I hand selected this powder as the best tasting. The cacao beans were grown in West Africa and the cacao powder was processed in the Netherlands.
Cacao powder is full of antioxidants polyphenols and flavonols. It also contains magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, copper, potassium, selenium and zinc. In fact, it is often labeled as a SUPERFOOD. Some of the touted benefits are that it improves mood, reduces risk of heart disease, combats fatigue, lowers blood pressure, improves brain functions, and helps to prevent premature aging. Delicious and good for you! Does it get better??
Now, to be completely transparent, I did choose a cacao powder that has been slightly washed with alkali. First, this reduces the acidity and brings it back to neutral on the PH scale. Our bodies thrive most when we are in a neutral/alkaline state rather than an acidic state. Second, it reduces the acidic and bitter flavor of cacao and just tastes better and richer. Plus, it still retains its nutritional value and health benefits. Fab!
